ABDB contains β-lactamase enzymes, which are responsible for antibiotic resistance. β-lactamase enzymes
evolve and mutate. There are many clinically mutated enzymes that have been classified into many classes
and subclasses. Hence, we have collected and presented β-lactamase enzymes related data like amblers
classification, organism name, sequence, structure, activity and its related publications in this
database. Further, some artificially mutated β-lactamase enzymes, its related structure, activity and
its related publications is also present in this database.
In this database, we have collected the 5,967 β-lactamase sequence, structure and activity data divided
into 4 classes. Class A contains sequence and activity of 1266 enzymes, class B contains sequence and
activity of 665 enzymes, class C contains sequence and activity of 3361 enzymes and class D contains
sequence and activity of 675 enzymes. Class A contains structure of 39 enzymes, class B contains
structure of 38 enzymes, class C contains structure of 25 enzymes and class D contains structure of 12
enzymes. Class A contains structure of 39 enzymes, class B contains structure of 38 enzymes, class C
contains structure of 25 enzymes and class D contains structure of 12 enzymes. Class A contains kinetic
values of 9 enzymes, class B contains kinetic values of 12 enzymes and class D contains kinetic values
of 14 enzymes.
